The word “treasure” is often used as a word of endearment when expressing love, in several different languages: “baobei” in Chinese, “schatz” in German, “skat” in Danish… “Treasure” expresses love with a specific type of preciousness, that is private and intimate, something we wish to keep to ourselves, like a little secret kept between two people.
These observations were translated into the design of a leather chest embellished with hundreds of tiny leather pieces. The very act of holding and opening it requires the most delicate touch.
